You are...

Hello!

A very quick post to share a card that I made for Altenew's May inspiration challenge.

Here is my take on the inspiration picture. I stamped images from Peony Scrolls stamp set on Strathmore Bristol smooth cardstock and coloured them with Zig markers.

I took time to figure out the arrangement (as always! :))

I added a heat embossed sentiment. I also added interest to the design by repeatedly stamping the sentiment in pale pink colour. I also added some clear sequins.

Here is a close up of the sentiment strip coated with Wink of Stella. Can you see the shimmer?

One more close up of the floral arrangement.

Supplies used-
Peony scrolls stamp set.
You are stamp set for sentiment.

Now for a little secret. ;) Initially, when I finished creating this card, it didn't look like the one I have just shown here. It looked like this...

After I had finished making the above card for the challenge, I realised that the green in the challenge picture and the green on my card are completely different. So, I stamped a bunch of leaves again and coloured them in a different green to match the inspiration picture. Then adhered the newly fussu cut images exactly on the previously adhered leaves. I knew nobody would be able to make it out. ;) I also added more leaves to balance the design.

See you soon tommorrow with an exciting post. :)

Hugs..
Sindhu.

Playful pups- take two.

Hi everyone! Hope you had a great weekebd and a pleasant monday too...

As mentioned in my earlier post, I am here to share a card I made on order. It is a fancy fold card.

I used HoneyBee Stamps 'Playful pups' stamp set and patterned papers from Simple Stories. I had cut the Sun from one of the patterned papers. I also used the Grassy Hills dies from MFT.

I love how the front of the card turned out. Watch the video below to see the surprise element inside the card. :)

Thanks for stopping by!

See you soon...

Bye!

My feelings for you are strong!

Hi everyone! I want to share a very quick card I made a couple of days ago for Little Tangles challenge.

This is a very simple card. First, I stamped the image on a piece of Strathmore Bristol smooth cardstock and coloured with Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens.

I sponged ink through a Winnie and Walter stencil on the card base and stuck the fussy cut image on the background. I stamped the sentiment to finish the card. So simple, isn't it? :) But I did follow the Rule of Thirds while making the card. These days I seem to be more inclined to use that rule on my cards. But I don't always follow it, especially when I feel that it is going to take off fun in the intended design. Many a time it is all about enjoying than making something look correct, right?

Anyway, that is it for today morning. ;) See you later in the day with one more card.

Have a pleasant Monday!
Hugs...

Supplies used-
Big Bold Brew stamp set from Neat and Tangled
'Do you see what I see' screening from Winnie and Walter. (That name makes me smile everytime!)
Zig markers for colouring.
Hero arts ink for sponging ink through the stencil.

Floral cards- country blooms

Hello!

It has been more than a week since I last blogged. I have been busy with a few orders for personalised cards and I was having a lot of fun. I hope to share them soon as they are SO much fun. :)

For now, I have a couple of floral cards to share.  I used Honeybee Stamps 'Country blooms' stamp set to make two variations.

Here they are...

For the first card, I stamped a few images from the 'country blooms' set and fussy cut them out. Then on a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock,  I sponged some dye inks in rainbow colors.  Then, arranged the flowers on the inked panel. Finished the card with some ink splatters and the die cut sentment.

Here are some close up pictures.

The next is more soft looking as I used a very light pink to stamp the background. I used the same stamp set. I randomly atamped the background and assembled the card. I added glitter paper to add interest to otherwise a very simple card.

 A close up...

Hope you like the cards... will be back soon with more. :)

Take care.

Because....

Hi everyone!

A quick post to share a card that I made for the MFT color challenge.

Here is my card using all the four colours in the challenge picture.

I sponged two shades of blue dye inks on Neenah Solar White cardstock. I also sponged the light yellow and orange dye inks on a piece of white cardstock and diecut it. After die cutting, I felt that the orange was not as bright as it looked in the picture. So, I took a orange vopic marker and highlighted the bottom half of the die cut.

Heat embossed the sentiment in white on black cardstock. Also stamped the diagonal pattern on the card base and assembled the card together. Added some sparkly sequins.

Here is a close up of the die cut.

Hope you like the card...

See you soon again.

Bye!

Playful pups

Hello everyone!

I can't believe it is May already! Time surely flies! And my little son is growing up too fast too. So, how about you? What are you upto these days?

Honeybee stamps has a Design Team call going and I thought I might try my luck. :)

I used their 'Playful pups' and made three cards. The images are SO cute and I just couldn't stop with one.

Here are the cards...

For the first card, I stamped the images of pups on post it notes and cut them out since I planned to have all the pups lined up side by side on the card. So, I would need the masks. Took a piece of cardstock measuring 5.5"×3.75". I stamped all the pups masking some to make it look like they are standing right beside each other.

I coloured them very quickly with zig markers. Once dry, stuck the panel on a kraft coloured card base.

For the second card, I stamped the card base with a background stamp in pale blue colour. I stamped, coloured and fussybcut the pups. Then, stuck the grassy hills die cut at the bottom of the card. I also heat embossed the sentiment in white on black cardstock.  Finally, before adhering the pups, I sponged sone light blue ink behind where they would be stuck.

A close up....

The last card is fun and quick. I die cut a film strip using the Pretty Pink Posh die. I sponged light pink ink on the card base and some on the die cut.
Then, adhered the coloured and fussy cut images and stamped the sentiment.

I hope you like the cards..

See you soon with one more set of cards..

Hugs..
