Little Tangles challenge is one of my favorite challenges as it is a monthly challenge and I get a lot of time to plan and play. This time the theme is 'watercolor'.
This is my take on the challenge...
First, on a piece of watercolor cardstock, I stamped the mini backdrop stamp called 'Sunburst' from Neat and Tangled with 'Fossilized Amber' Distress Ink. Distress Inks don't give crisp impression but react amazingly with water. So after stamping, I took a very wet brush and went over the whole image. It smudged a lot but that was exactly the look I had wanted.
Then, on another piece of watercolor paper, I stamped the super cute image from 'My favorite nut' from Neat and Tangled and watercolored with some cheap watercolor cakes in my stash. I fussy cut the image after it was dry and adhered everything own. I had also trimmed down the sunburst panel right upto the edge.
Here is the close up...

ReplyDeleteLovely card, Sindhu! Going over the background with a wet brush is a great idea.. gives it a great watercolored look.. love that! And I can say for sure, cheap watercolor cakes can also make great watercoloring devices.. cuz I really love your card! Thank you so much for joining Little Tangles challenge!

I really must get my hands on that Sunburst stamp, it looks amazing behind your sweet little squirrels. You've painted them so perfectly too and I love that you left everything else white on your card. Its gorgeous and I'm so happy to see you at Little Tangles!
